The Audiovisual team at Orlando, Florida has been tasked with multiple projects that require quick turnaround dates, especially with the COVID-19 measures set in place onsite. They have been tasked with recording and editing several Navy Virtual Town Hall Updates with the Commanding Officer, as well as recording all briefings for the upcoming Training & Simulation Industry Symposium (TSIS) for the Navy and Army, which is now being held virtually. The AV team has also been recording several video messages for editing multiple Army ceremonies together including the PEO STRI Change of Responsibility ceremony, which will then be posted online across multiple commands for viewing.
The VTC team was recently tasked with getting more acquainted with the Cisco WebEx platform, running through tests, and seeing what works and does not work when operating in a restricted DoD networked environment. The VTC team has scheduled and hosted multiple WebEx conferences over the course of the last couple of months for those seeking to connect to their co-workers virtually or unable to attend in person. Last month, the VTC team hosted the Navy Procurement Administrative Lead Time (PALT) update session via WebEx, which is open to Industry participants intending to pursue contracts and/or business with the U.S. Government. The event took place on site in the Navy Command Boardroom with only a handful of Navy attendees, and then connecting via WebEx, there were 180+ attendees from industry and additional government employees. The event was a success, and the feedback received was very positive from the Command as well as the Industry partners that were connected. The VTC team has also been assisting a visiting Rear Admiral with supporting multiple classified VTCs that have become requirements in direct correlation with the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Photography department has been providing photos for all the new safety measures and cleaning instructions that are being put in place across the command, in order to inform employees of what to expect if they arrive on-site for work during these times.
